Book Info
Title: The Tribrid Princess and the Taste of Chaos (The Rossi Legacies Book 7)
Author: Moonlight Muse
Publication Date: September 23, 2025
Category: Paranormal Fantasy Romance
Relationship: This book features a fated mates M/F relationship between a werewolf (Jayce) and werewolf/demon/witch (Sienna/Mordana)
POV: Told from the POV of multiple characters with the majority being both the male and female main characters
Series or Stand-Alone: This is a book that is part of a The Rossi Legacies series set in the same universe of The Power of Bonds Saga also by Moonlight Muse.
I feel it is best if you read the series from the beginning for better understanding of the characters and overall storyline.
Length: Long - 433 pages
Ending: Ends with cliffhanger that isn't happy for now. The next book in the series has not been released yet.
Overall Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
Open or Closed Door: Open door
Spice Level: 3.5 out of 5 peppers - There are several detailed spicy scenes that feature dirty talk. I didn't feel there was enough kink to be a full 4 peppers, but there is some mild blood play.
The book is more plot driven with some smut sprinkled in.
Age Range: FMC is 17 (turns 18 in the book) and MMC is said to be a year and a half older
Book Boyfriend Material: Jayce is a book boyfriend that at the beginning you imagine he's going to be a pretty big jerk, and he kind of is. He's a confident future Alpha of his pack, after all.
It turns out he's more of a cinnamon roll but only for his girl.
Once he knows feelings are mutual he's not afraid to go for what he really wants and is determined to not let anything get in his way.
FMC: Sienna's world kind of stops when her father dies and she's still struggling years later.
While her closest friends and family know she has lots of potential, to outsiders she seems to be more of a failure and disappointment.
In reality, her powers are more powerful that anyone realizes and Sienna constantly self sacrifices to keeps her loved ones safe.
She's definitely an emotionally charged woman and uses her emotions to make decisions more than logic, which certainly leads to unintended consequences.
That said, she loves hard even if it's sometimes in ways others don't understand.
Readability: Easy to read and flows well with minimal grammatical issues.
Main Themes/Tropes: Enemies to lovers; fated mates; academy

Synopsis From Author
"Sienna Rossi is an eighteen-year-old young woman who had everything going for her; she had it all. That was until two years ago when she lost someone she loved and grief shattered her. From being one of the best in her class, she spiralled out of control, the power that runs through her veins has forsaken her.
Although she no longer has the will to do her best, she’s forced to remain at Midnight Academy. Despite her failing exam scores, she’s pushed to take the next step, a step that means failure is no longer an option. Assigned to a combat team she has no business being on. The worst part? Her new division leader is Jayce Westwood.
Jayce is the first-born, Alpha heir of the Blood Moon Pack. He is ruthless, unyielding and unforgiving. The kind of man who commands with a look, crushes with a word, and doesn’t tolerate any kind of weakness. And in his eyes, she is nothing but weak. He doesn’t just dislike her, he resents her and she has no idea why. But what she does know is that his cold glares burn more than they should, that the way he watches her, sharp and assessing, awakens something deep inside her. To Jayce, she is nothing more than an unnecessary distraction, one that somehow messes with his mind and control. She is everything he doesn't need and everything that he wouldn’t mind having a taste of.
Tormented by dreams that she cannot comprehend, and the hopelessness that consumes her as she embarks on the impossible, she and Jayce realise they can help one another with their goals and decide to work together. The tension, fear, desire and hatred between them sparks into something else. Something reckless. Something uncontrollable. Something utterly chaotic.
With the upcoming battle looming closer, will Sienna ever be able to accomplish the task she has set her sights upon? Will she ever overcome whatever is stopping her from becoming the woman she is destined to be? And above all… why does the green-eyed Alpha look at her like she’s both his greatest failure and his greatest obsession?"
My Review
This was yet another enjoyable read from Moonlight Muse. I'll admit that this book did take me a while to get into, but when I got about 20% through, I started getting hooked and it was hard to put down.
Likes
- Characters with abilities that are different from most supernatural books I've read
- Interesting parallels with Greek mythology
- Main and side characters are enjoyable to read
Dislikes
- There's a lot of characters to keep track of
- Lack of communication (sometimes forced) and angst is a common theme if that's not your thing
- Ends on a cliffhanger with the next book being about a different couple
First I will definitely recommend that you start at the beginning of this series for things to make the most sense.
I have read some of the very first books featured in this universe like My Forbidden Alpha and Her Cold-Hearted Alpha so I'm familiar with some characters, but I haven't read from the beginning of The Rossi Legacies series.
With that said, there are a lot of characters and history mentioned from the beginning which can be hard to follow and keep track of. Plus, there are some side characters that have similar names but are different people like Allie and Allison.
I think this is one reason it was a bit difficult for me to first get into the book. Once I got about 20% through and the main characters started interacting more I quickly got hooked and didn't want to put the book down so I could find out what happened next.
And, even though there were a lot of side characters, I didn't find any of them dull and unneeded. In fact, they were well written and made me want to read the previous books in the series along with looking forward to the upcoming books.
One thing I really liked about this book is that the supernatural characters are different than you would find in most of the similar types of books I've read with various spells and abilities.
Along this same line, I found the tie in with Greek mythology to be a nice touch for something different.
I also appreciated that this book didn't follow the somewhat usually expected storyline of the MMC being the one to screw up and need to grovel.
That said, the FMC did get a bit annoying with her making emotionally charged choices for herself and others without thinking things through or getting their opinions and just assuming what they'd want. Though I do understand that a lot of that is grief motivated.
I will also say that I didn't find this book to be a true enemies to lovers, and while our MMC is a bit harsh to the FMC in the beginning, he's certainly not as harsh as some of the MMCs in Muse's other books, which isn't a bad thing.
While there's tension and angst, we find out it's more of a communication issue and there were feelings on both sides that went unmentioned.
There's certainly a lot that happens in this book and I don't want to give away any spoilers in my review. But, I will say I feel like there's certainly a lot left to potentially happen between our main characters with the cliffhanger we're left with.
Since the next book in the series revolves around a different couple I do wonder just how thorough of a satisfying conclusion we'll get for Jayce and Sienna, even if the next couple's story will obviously tie in with what's going on.
Either way, I can't wait to find out.
Overall, I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys spicy fantasy enemies-ish to lovers, especially with werewolves and other supernatural beings that aren't always common like witches and demons.
Just be aware that it does end on quite the cliffhanger that may or may not take a while to get resolved.
