About In Love With Books
In Love With Books is a book review site focusing mainly on romance books.
This includes all sorts from young adult and contemporary to fantasy and erotic romance.
The foundation of the site is still being built but you will already find book reviews, where to find books, and later on book lists for things like my favorite book boyfriends or fantasy romance faves.
Meet Delondra

Reading was something I excelled at at an early age. I remember always wanting to read books myself instead of having them read to me.
I was an only child living in a neighborhood without any other kids my age so books were my go-to friends to the point I had shelves upon shelves full of them.
I remember reading a lot of stand-alone books until I was 8 or 9 and got really sick with pneumonia that landed me in the hospital for over a week.
At that time one of my cousins gave me one of the Little House on the Prairie books and I totally fell in love with the series.
As I grew up I also fell in love with the books later in the series and reading about the budding relationships between characters like Laura and Almanzo, along with other series with Carrots and Gilbert, and Logan and Mary Anne.
In my early to mid-teens the Time Travelers Quartet by Caroline B. Cooney was another series I absolutely devoured.
By my later teens the internet and online gaming became popular so I read less and less and instead enjoyed games like Unreal Tournament and World of Warcarft.
I tried to get back into reading several times but due to stress and health issues like Hashimoto's, I just had too much brain fog to be able to enjoy reading like I used to.
Thankfully, now in my 30s, I have a much better treatment plan and have again been able to enjoy reading again.
I got back into reading by getting sucked into ads from some of the serial reading apps thanks to authors like JoJo Scott and Stacy Rush.
Now most of the books I read are available on Kindle or Kindle Unlimited.
Some of my favorite romance book genres are definitely dark romance, fantasy and paranormal, and contemporary - the steamier the better for them all.
Some of my favorite tropes include brother's best friend or best friend's brother, enemies to lovers, sports romance, fake relationships, and the occasional bully.
I personally don't mind most triggers as long as they end in a happily ever after or at least happy for now.
I feel like real life can suck enough itself sometimes that a satisfying ending to a book I'm using as an escape is a must.
Other than reading, I still enjoy gaming along with cooking, herding cats, and gardening.
I look forward to sharing my favorite books with you and learning about your favorites as well!
